Dealing with Depression

Everyone experiences periods of sadness during their life, but when 'feeling down' has been around for a while or becomes intense and does not seem to be shifting it can become a problem.

Depression is not something we are born with, it is something that develops over time and is usually 'event' or 'circumstance'-driven. When the feelings of sadness or apathy are overwhelming and it is impossible to see a way through, these feelings can become over generalised and affect other areas of our lives if left unchecked. It could be time to seek professional help in order to get back on track.
